Mass Games, May Day Stadium, Pyongyang, North Korea

Short clip from the Mass Games performance in Pyongyang. The performance ran about 90 minutes and was quite a spectacle. The background is made by 20,000 schoolchildren holding up special books, which are turned to a specific page for each scene change. No camcorders were allowed into the event. So, I took this video using my regular digital camera. This is why the resolution is not the best.

NORTH KOREA VIDEOS
Drive through central Pyongyang at rush hour on National Day Holiday

Video taken from tour bus as we drove through central Pyongyang at rush hour on National Day Holiday, September 9, 2010. There was much more activity on the streets, as well as more vehicles than what we normally saw on the other days of our tour. Pyongyang is the "showpiece" city for the DPRK government, and the main place that most foreign visitors to the country usually see. As such it is a very privileged place to live for North Koreans and residency there is restricted.
