Journeys in Our Disappearing World
by Gary Mancuso
The Last Places on Earth
Bhutan May 2011
Pictures of my trip in Bhutan during May 2011. A magnificently beautiful country, there was no shortage of things to take pictures of. The festivals are full of tradition and quite colorful, the people are exotic with most still using traditional "national dress", there is abundant wildlife and colorful birdlife galore, and the scenery of endless dramatic mountains and forest is sublime. The country is one of the cleanest and pristine places I have ever been outside of the Arctic. To read my story of this trip, see BHUTAN: The Land of Gross National Happiness
